The Minister for Infrastructure and Digital Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Emperor Otto Cultural Foundation since June of this year. As a history graduate, she is aware of Magdeburg’s outstanding importance in the Middle Ages:
‘It fills me with pride that I have been able to contribute as a member of the Emperor Otto Cultural Foundation’s Board of Trustees since June. Most people don’t realise how important Magdeburg was in the Middle Ages. With the Kaiser Otto Prize, we are bringing the foundation’s projects and the history of the state capital closer to a wider circle of people.’
For Lydia Hüskens, who came to Magdeburg for work in 1992, our city has a lot of potential that has not yet been fully utilised. This is one of the reasons for her diverse voluntary work, for the Cultural Foundation, for Magdeburg, for Saxony-Anhalt.
